This painting depicts a scene so familiar to me.  For years I would get up early in the morning and run the 3.5 mile path around back bay in Portland.  More often than not I would see the most beautiful sunrises and wish I had time to capture the image in order to re-create it later on canvas.  Finally, this spring I put paint to canvas and completed "Back Bay Sunrise".
