This painting depicts a main street Christmas scene  perfectly representative of life in small town Maine.  On the right you will notice a movie house, formerly the Magic Lantern in Bridgton.  The theater (which has since been torn down) was actually closed when I painted this scene however thanks to a little artistic license and imagination, you can still catch "It's a Wonderful Life" at 3 o'clock...
