My inspiration for "Twilight's Last Gleaming" came from the patriotic sense of pride that I experienced following the terrorist attacks of September 11.  After my initial disbelief and sadness began to pass, I was amazed watching so many people from so many different places come together as one.  I had originally intended to title this painting "September 12th".
